About This Opportunity
This award is designed to support graduate students who have taken an approved parental leave (includes adoption). The goal of the bursary is to help students maintain a level of funding during their parental leave (to a max of 8 months). This bursary is provided on a first come first serve basis and there is a limit of 3 awards per fiscal year. Students must be on an approved parental Leave of Absence (LOA), have pre-existing stable graduate funding at a minimum of $7500 per year, cannot hold Tri-Council Funding, must have completed at least one semester of their graduate studies and be registered full time in the semester before their approved leave, and must be in good-standing. Students who have received an approved parental LOA can send a request for this bursary to grad.funding@uregina.ca with their name, student ID, expected leave start date, and proof of current funding. A student cannot be employed while holding this bursary.
