About this opportunity

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of Regina provides financial enhancements to incoming recipients of Tri-Council Awards (CIHR, SSHRC, or NSERC). This program supplements federal tri-council awards with additional institutional funding to support graduate student research and education. Master's students receive a one-time lump sum payment of $3,000, while PhD students receive $5,000 annually for the duration of their tri-council award. No separate application is required as eligible students are automatically identified and contacted by the Manager of Graduate Scholarships and Awards. This enhancement is designed to attract and support top graduate students who have already demonstrated excellence by securing competitive national research council funding.
