About this opportunity
The Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research Undergraduate Research Award (UGRA) provides extensive research experience to undergraduate students through paid awards. The program aims to build undergraduate students' research and creative competencies through experiential learning, which is a strategic priority of the University of Regina. Supervisors provide mentorship, leadership and expertise involving the student's research, whether it be working in a lab, immersive learning, creative inquiry or any other form of research-based learning. The goal is to create and enhance the undergraduate research culture across the university by providing students with opportunities to build research competencies and celebrate undergraduate research success. The award must take place over a four month period between May and August (16 weeks) as a full-time award only, approximately 35 hours per week. Award holders are not allowed to hold another job at the University of Regina while holding this position and are not approved for overtime hours. Consideration may be given to Indigenous students and black heritage students, and preference is given to students in non-NSERC areas of study.
