About this opportunity
The Field of Honor - Sonoma County Scholarship is a scholarship opportunity offered by the Petaluma Educational Foundation to support students who have a parent who is a Veteran, in active duty, or is a First Responder such as a fireman, policeman, or paramedic. This scholarship provides $500.00 to eligible high school seniors who will be enrolled in a college, university, or trade/vocational school in the beginning of the 2025 Fall term. The scholarship recognizes the sacrifice and service of families with military or first responder backgrounds and aims to support their educational pursuits.
Eligible students must currently be enrolled in a high school in the Petaluma or Sonoma County area and must have a parent in military service (veteran or active duty) or working as a first responder. Recipients must commit to enrolling in post-secondary education without taking a gap year. The scholarship can be used for tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses at accredited colleges, universities, or trade/vocational schools.
