Field Trips / Research Stays

The Carlsberg Foundation provides funding for field trips abroad and research stays at foreign research institutions with budgets not exceeding DKK 100,000. The program supports associate professors, senior researchers, and professors employed at Danish research institutions. Funding covers costs related to travel, accommodation, and transport. For research stays of six months or more, the foundation may also provide funding for additional expenses related to family inclusion. Applications are accepted year-round on a rolling basis, with submissions required at least three months prior to the proposed starting date. Field trips and research stays with budgets exceeding DKK 100,000 must be applied for under the Carlsberg Foundation autumn call with deadline October 1.
