Finlandia Foundation National Scholarships

Finlandia Foundation National awards academic scholarships for post-secondary education to full-time undergraduate and graduate students of all academic disciplines. The program, established in the 1950s, originally focused on music students but has expanded to support students across all fields. Students must be currently enrolled in accredited post-secondary schools in the United States or Finland. The number of donor-funded scholarships awarded is determined by available funds in any given year, with individual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 per student. Special consideration may be given to applicants studying subjects related to Finnish culture. Applications are evaluated in the spring and awarded for the following fall or spring term, with notification letters mailed in mid-April.
