First Generation Student Scholarship

The First Generation Student Scholarship aims to support first generation college students who are passionate about making a difference in global health, providing them with resources to pursue their goals. The selection committee evaluates various factors, prioritizing candidates who demonstrate a commitment to their communities and a genuine interest in global health. Preference may be given to applicants demonstrating financial need and those who have had limited opportunities to engage in global health education programs. Eligible applicants must be first-generation college students who intend to participate in a CFHI place-based program in specified locations including Tarija, Quito, Puyo, Kabale, Mukono, Durban, Dehradun or Delhi taking place in 2026 that is at least 4 weeks long.
