About this opportunity

This scholarship was established to encourage and inspire young women from Annapolis Royal to be the first in their family to step into the challenge and opportunity of post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded to female graduates attending Annapolis West Education Centre who will be first-generation post-secondary education students. The scholarship aims to support students who have above-average grades but may not be viewed as typical university candidates and who are not winning other scholarships or financial awards. The recipient has until September three years following the award to begin university studies, providing time for increased maturity and careful selection of program of study. Scholarship payments are made directly to the student's account at the university.
