About This Opportunity

The School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences has established an Indigenous Agriculture Initiative that seeks to provide opportunities for Indigenous undergraduate students and postgraduates students interested in agriculture. Part of this Initiative is to provide an undergraduate scholarship program for Indigenous students considering a career in agriculture. Currently, there are many good employment opportunities in agriculture as well as a need for education and training for Indigenous managed lands. The IAI scholarship provides students with an $8000 (FT equivalent) top-up of their Abstudy entitlement. This scholarship is specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students commencing their first year at Charles Sturt University studying agriculture-related bachelor degrees at the Wagga Wagga campus in New South Wales.
