About this opportunity
The Fisk and Lila Gerhardt Scholarship Fund was established under the will of Lila Gerhardt, who was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Fisk Gerhardt, a Plant Physiologist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Wenatchee. Dr. Gerhardt was also a lifetime member of the Wenatchee Lodge 1186, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. The Gerhardts had no children of their own, but held a life-long interest in all children of the community.
This competitive scholarship supports graduating seniors from Wenatchee High School who are residents of the Wenatchee School District and plan to attend a four-year college or university. To be eligible, students must have a minimum 3.8 GPA and plan to attend a four-year college or university in the United States.
The scholarship is paid over two years and requires an update showing educational progress and a successful academic year to keep the scholarship in place. Applications open January 1st and are due by March 1st each year.
