FKT - Tilskudd til forebyggende tiltak mot rovviltskader for eiere av produksjonsdyr

The grant program supports preventive measures to reduce damage and loss caused by predators to livestock in agriculture. This funding scheme (FKT-ordningen) helps limit damage that predators can cause to production animals in agriculture and supports conflict-reducing measures to minimize inconvenience to local communities and other groups. Farmers and livestock owners can apply for various preventive measures with direct loss-reducing effects, including physical barriers between predators and livestock, extended supervision activities, and other measures expected to have direct loss-reducing effects. The program covers various production animals including sheep, goats, cattle, horses, reindeer, bees, pigs, poultry, and deer. Applications are processed at the regional level by the county governor (statsforvalteren) based on professional discretionary assessment, ensuring measures comply with regulations and regional management plans.
