About this opportunity
The Flame Stoppers Māori & Pasifika Quantity Surveyor Excellence Scholarship is designed to provide financial support and mentoring to high-achieving Māori and Pasifika students during the second and third years of their Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying major) at Ara Institute of Canterbury. The scholarship covers up to $8,000 per year for academic course fees over two years, totaling $16,000. One scholarship is offered annually to a student starting their second-year studies. In addition to financial support, the scholarship provides valuable mentoring opportunities, and Flame Stoppers may offer the successful recipient paid work experience during tertiary holidays, with employment contracts negotiated directly with the recipient. This scholarship aims to support indigenous and Pacific Islander students in completing their quantity surveying education and entering the construction industry.
