About This Opportunity

The Flannery Foundation Residential Scholarship is part of the UQ Residential Scholarships Scheme and provides financial support to domestic undergraduate students from regional, rural or remote areas of Queensland who are facing financial hardship. Established in 2019 under the Create Change Scholarship Match, the Flannery Foundation created an endowment to support undergraduate scholarships specifically for students from Queensland Regional, Rural or Remote areas beyond a 200km radius of Brisbane. The scholarship provides $10,000 per annum towards accommodation fees for students residing at approved accommodation providers while studying full-time at the University of Queensland. The value may vary in some years based on the annual distribution from the relevant fund. This scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers to accessing higher education for students from remote communities and ensure they can afford residential accommodation while pursuing their undergraduate studies.
