About This Opportunity

The Flash Hero Supplementary Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to research students who are holders of a China Scholarship Council (CSC) primary stipend scholarship and who are undertaking research in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and/or distributed systems within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is funded by a donation from Flash Hero Pty Ltd to the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This supplementary scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the difference between the primary CSC stipend scholarship and the University of Sydney RTP rate (indexed on January 01 each year) for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in a PhD within the Faculty of Engineering and hold an Honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) or equivalent in a relevant discipline. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit and the area of study and/or research proposal in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and/or distributed systems. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress and attend annual progress evaluation meetings. The scholarship cannot be transferred to another area of research outside of AI and/or distributed systems, and recipients cannot change their lead supervisor without prior approval.
