About this opportunity
The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program is a lottery-funded scholarship program established to reward Florida high school graduates for their academic achievements during high school by providing funding for postsecondary education. The program has helped over 1 million scholars receive a postsecondary education. Bright Futures offers multiple scholarship options including the Florida Academic Scholarship (FAS), Florida Medallion Scholarship (FMS), Gold Seal CAPE Scholarship (GSC), and Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship (GSV), each with different eligibility requirements based on GPA, volunteer/work hours, coursework, and test scores.
Students must complete required high school coursework, earn the required GPA, complete service hours or paid work hours, and achieve minimum test scores (where applicable). The program is administered by the Florida Department of Education in partnership with the Florida Lottery, helping students from all backgrounds achieve their goals of higher education with reduced or eliminated student debt.
