About this opportunity
The Fong Computational Mathematics Graduate Award provides financial support to full-time graduate students entering graduate studies in the Computational Mathematics Graduate Program in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. The award offers either one scholarship valued at $7,500 or two scholarships each valued at $3,750 annually. This fund is made possible by a donation from the Fong Education Foundation Limited. Mr. Eddie Fong (BMath '80) has enjoyed an extremely successful career and is pleased to support his alma mater. Selection is based on academic excellence with a minimum 80% average, as well as demonstrated interest in computational and/or industrial mathematics. Students are selected automatically by the Faculty/Department for this award, which is available for both master's and doctoral level students entering in the Fall term.
