About this opportunity
The Football For Change fund invests in young people who face social and economic barriers when trying to reach their full potential. These are young people who've faced poverty and those who have experienced tough starts in life, with a focus on giving them a platform to build better futures. The fund supports a wide range of community projects from charitable organisations based within Merseyside or Greater Manchester. Projects do not need to be focused on football or sport specifically. The fund focuses on social mobility projects in education, employment, and sport, supporting young people who are not in employment, education and/or those who have experienced social and economic challenges. The fund also focuses on supporting BAME communities. Examples of funded projects include education programmes supporting young people to gain access to higher education, life-changing sporting opportunities that give young people the chance to access careers in sport or participate in sporting events, and training and apprenticeships/career development. Grants are available up to £10,000 per project.
