About this opportunity
Available to first-year students in the Forest Technology program at NAIT. This award is presented on the basis of top academic achievement in FORT1111, Forest Measurements. Brian Wesolowsky, a graduate of the NAIT forestry program, was known throughout the Alberta Forest Industry as a field contractor with a passion for collecting accurate data and for innovations in tree measurement practices. He was instrumental in establishing and measuring plots that are part of major research projects managed by the Forest Growth Organization of Western Canada (FGrOW). After Brian's unexpected passing in 2012, FGrOW members decided to honour his memory with the creation of the Brian Wesolowsky Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to the student with the highest marks in the Forest Measurements course at NAIT. No application is required.
