Forsøk med arbeidsrettet introduksjonsprogram 2026-2029

This is a pilot grant program offering work-oriented introduction programs for immigrant women who need additional qualification beyond Norwegian language and social studies to enter the workforce. The goal is to increase employment among women in groups with very low labor market participation. The trial will last for four years, subject to the Norwegian Parliament's appropriations for upcoming budget years. For 2026, 4.5 million Norwegian kroner has been allocated to this pilot. The grant is available to a selected group of municipalities to implement projects offering work-oriented introduction programs for the target group. Municipalities must contribute at least 20 percent co-financing of the total project budget. The program is specifically designed for women aged 18-55 who have received family immigration permits, have lived in a municipality with such a permit for less than two years, do not have education at upper secondary level or higher, and have a particular need for qualification beyond Norwegian language and social studies training.
