ÅForsk Research Grants 2026

ÅForsk offers research grants for early-career researchers in engineering and applied sciences across three tracks: Career Age 0-3 years (doctorate awarded 2023-2025), Career Age 4-7 years (doctorate awarded 2019-2022), and Academic-Industry Collaboration Projects (open to all ages, with priority for those meeting the 7-year requirement). The foundation focuses on bold, new ideas within focus areas including Energy, Environment, Sustainability, Process Development, Infrastructure, Materials, Products from Renewable Sources, and Safety. Grants range from 400,000 SEK to 4,000,000 SEK for projects up to five years. Applicants must be affiliated with a Swedish university or higher education institution.
