About This Opportunity

The Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) invites applications for doctoral programme grants for teachers within health care education. The purpose of this call is to organize doctoral-level education that will contribute to strengthening research connections and achieving higher quality in health and healthcare education programs, as well as securing the long-term supply of researchers at Swedish universities. The initiative is based on a government mandate. The doctoral programmes must be conducted in collaboration between at least three Swedish universities/colleges and must include at least 10 doctoral students who are active as teaching staff within health and healthcare education programs at a Swedish university. The programmes should provide a structured, cohesive educational program with shared courses and seminars of high scientific and pedagogical quality that will be nationally and preferably internationally accessible. The grant covers costs related to the doctoral programme, such as coordination, doctoral student salaries, and courses, and aims to ensure that the education is founded on relevant, state-of-the-art research of high quality with international connections.
