Forskningscirklar för lärare

Forskningscirklar för lärare is a year-long professional development program that allows Swedish elementary school teachers to deepen their knowledge and develop their teaching practice through research circles. The program offers four different research circles, each led by a professor in specific subject areas: Pedagogical relationships for preschool teachers, Mathematical thinking for math teachers grades F-3, Engaging narratives for Swedish language teachers grades 4-9, and Engaging science for science teachers grades 4-9. Each circle consists of three full-day physical meetings in Stockholm and five digital meetings throughout the academic year. Participants engage in three phases: a study phase with literature review, a development phase implementing practices in the classroom, and an evaluation phase assessing the outcomes. The total time commitment is approximately 70 hours plus documentation time. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate that can be used for merit level 2 in the professional program for teachers.
