Forskningsinfrastruktur (Research Infrastructure)

The Research Infrastructure grant from the Carlsberg Foundation provides funding for the procurement of research equipment and apparatus to address key scientific questions that could not be addressed otherwise. The grant supports Danish researchers in acquiring essential research infrastructure including equipment, apparatus, and access to international facilities. Applications must justify the need for the infrastructure and describe its scientific importance. The minimum grant amount is DKK 300,000 with no maximum limit, though grants rarely exceed approximately DKK 5 million. The program requires that applicants be tenured associate professors, senior researchers, or professors employed at least 80% at Danish research institutions. The infrastructure should benefit multiple Danish research groups, and institutions must confirm their willingness to accommodate the equipment.
