About this opportunity
The Forskraftstiftelsen Theodor Adelswärds Minne (Research Foundation Theodor Adelswärd's Memory) supports research on international relations and international cooperation. The foundation aims to promote studies that develop young people's knowledge of international relations, international organizations and/or international cooperation by providing economic support to students at universities/colleges in Sweden within subject areas related to international organizations and/or international cooperation, especially concerning peacekeeping and conflict resolution efforts, human rights, energy issues and environmental issues.
The foundation awards scholarships to projects that fulfill the foundation's purpose and fall within one of three groups: master's students at Swedish universities who wish to conduct field studies in another country in connection with their master's thesis (maximum 50,000 SEK); doctoral students at Swedish universities who wish to conduct field studies abroad in connection with their doctoral dissertation (maximum 100,000 SEK); and doctoral students who wish to receive financial support for a stay as a visiting researcher at a foreign university (maximum 100,000 SEK).
The foundation's board meets in October to review applications. Scholarship recipients are notified in writing. Applications are only accepted electronically during the application period from June 15 to September 15. Recipients must submit a report on their completed research trip and used scholarship funds within one month after return, and are expected to send a copy of the completed work to the foundation.
