FR (Dick) Matthews Excellence Scholarship in Law - Renewable

The FR (Dick) Matthews Excellence Scholarship in Law is awarded to the top ranked student entering the Faculty of Law whose academic background includes a focus on accounting. The recipient will be selected on the basis of academic achievement. Students entering the joint MBA/JD program are eligible. This is a renewable scholarship, with receipt of funding for the second and third years contingent upon achieving satisfactory academic standing on full-time registration in the JD or MBA/JD program. The scholarship is made possible through endowed funds by FR (Dick) Matthews, BCom (1941), LLB (1948), an Alberta lawyer whose accounting and legal education served as the basis for an adventurous and successful career in law and business spanning 50 years.
