Francis Family Bar None Award

The Francis Family Bar None Award is presented to students with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in the third year of a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Animal Health, or Bachelor of Science in Agricultural/Food Business Management at the University of Alberta. The award recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in multiple dimensions including academic achievement, leadership qualities, community engagement, volunteerism, and/or involvement in extracurricular activities. Financial need is also a consideration in the selection process. This endowed award was established by the Francis family, who are long-time supporters, volunteers, and employees of the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences, along with past Bar None attendees. The award represents their investment in young people's future development and their recognition of the impact that the University of Alberta and the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences have had on their lives.
