About this opportunity
The Francis-Heath Families Bar None Award is awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing entering or continuing in the second year of a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Animal Health, or Bachelor of Science in Agricultural/Food Management in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership and involvement in extracurricular and community activities, as well as academic standing. The award was endowed by the Francis family, long-time supporters, volunteers, and employees of the Faculty of ALES and past Bar None attendees, as an investment in a young person's future. It also honors the family of Gerald Heath, Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) 1943, for his dedication to civil service and his establishment of numerous agriculturally-based cooperatives throughout his career. Recipients may receive only one Bar None Award or Scholarship in any given academic year and will be automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
