About This Opportunity

The Francis Henry Loxton Scholarship supports male students conducting postgraduate research in the areas of veterinary science and animal production at the University of Sydney. Established in 1960 through a bequest from Francis Henry Loxton, this scholarship follows the Research Training Program (RTP) application process. The scholarship may be awarded as either a primary scholarship providing a stipend equivalent to the University of Sydney RTP rate, or as a supplementary scholarship providing $10,000 per annum. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in a Master's by Research or PhD program within the Faculty of Science. The scholarship provides funding for up to 1.75 years for Master's recipients and up to 3.5 years for PhD recipients. Primary scholarship recipients also receive leave entitlements including 20 working days recreation leave and 10 working days sick leave per year.
