About this opportunity
Established in 1960 by a bequest from Francis Henry Loxton, this scholarship supports higher degree research students undertaking research in agriculture. The scholarship provides both a stipend scholarship and a supplementary scholarship for full-time PhD students conducting research within the discipline of agriculture. Research areas include plant breeding and production, carbon, water, soil, food quality and safety, livestock, dairying, field robotics, agricultural data analytics, agricultural/resource economics, and development agriculture. The stipend scholarship provides an annual stipend equivalent to the minimum Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate, while the supplementary scholarship provides an additional $10,000 per year. Both scholarships are available for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Applicants must be male, have applied for the RTP Scholarship at the University of Sydney, and conduct research in agriculture.
