About This Opportunity

The Francis Kobty Hospitality Scholarship supports students entering Tarrant County College at the Southeast Campus who are pursuing culinary arts or hospitality management education. The scholarship is designed to assist students enrolled in an AAS in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management, or a Level 1 or Level 2 Certificate of Completion. Recipients must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and enroll in minimum 9 credit hours or full-time enrollment as defined by their program. Preference is given to applicants who meet federal or state financial need guidelines and who are graduates of Arlington or Mansfield ISD high schools. The scholarship is renewable for the spring semester if the recipient maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA and completes at least 9 credit hours in the fall. Recipients are required to attend a scholarship presentation event with the Kobty family, allowing for connection between donors and scholars.
