About this opportunity
The Francis V. Hanavan Memorial Fund Award was established in 1995 by Mrs. Barbara Hanavan to honor the late Francis V. Hanavan, former Chair of the Department of Health Behavioral Sciences. Following Dr. Hanavan's death in 1986, his friends established an endowment in his name. This endowment funds an award to a graduate student in the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior who shows great potential for future contributions in Public Health and Health Professions. The annual award is presented to an MPH or MS student in the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior who demonstrates great potential for contributions to public health. Students must be in good academic standing with a GPA above 3.0 and no academic or integrity related issues to be eligible.
