Frank Bueckert Prize

The Frank Bueckert Prize is awarded annually to an undergraduate student who demonstrates aptitude and promise in playwriting courses taken in the Department of Drama at the University of Alberta. The award is based on superior academic achievement in playwriting courses and recognizes excellence in this creative field. The prize may be offered to part-time, full-time, or convocating students, providing flexibility for students at different stages of their undergraduate studies. This award is endowed by the Department of Drama from donations to the Frank Bueckert Fund and proceeds of the Studio Theatre Frank Bueckert Scholarship Performance, created in honour of Frank Bueckert's retirement from the Department.
