About this opportunity
The Frank M Jacobs Bar None Award is presented to a student enrolled in the second, third, or fourth year of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Animal Health or Agricultural/Food Business Management at the University of Alberta. The award recognizes students who maintain satisfactory academic standing and demonstrate financial need. Selection criteria include academic performance, leadership in community involvement, and participation in extracurricular activities. Special preference is given to students who express an interest in education and journalism. This endowed award honors Frank M Jacobs, a University of Alberta alumnus (BEd 1943, BSc Ag 1947) who was an educator and long-time editor of Cattlemen magazine. Recipients should note that students may receive only one Bar None Award or Scholarship in any given academic year.
