About This Opportunity

The Department of Economics is the home of the Fraser of Allander Institute, a leading impartial economic research institute. The FAI plays a crucial role in the MSc in Applied Economics, through teaching and summer projects, giving students the chance to engage with staff at the cutting edge of applied economics research, industry experience and policymaking. FAI is delighted to offer up to 6 Scholarships to the value of £8,000 for Home/EU students who hold an offer of a place on the programme for entry September 2026. Candidates must be self-funded and already hold an offer of a place on the Full Time MSc Applied Economics programme. Candidates interested in applying should provide a maximum 1000 word statement demonstrating, through their ideas, experience and future career plans why they should be awarded this scholarship. Candidates will also be considered on the overall quality of their application and financial need. These Scholarships are only available to students who are classified Home fee status, including Scotland, Rest of the UK or EU with Settled Status.
