About this opportunity
The Fred & Ruth Stork Awards in German Studies consist of three distinct awards available annually to students participating in recognized institutional Canadian-organized German language or cultural studies programs abroad. The WCGS Study Travel Award - IcGS Program provides up to $2,000 per student for full-time graduate students enrolled in the Joint Intercultural German Studies degree program. The WCGS Study Travel Award - University of Waterloo provides between $500 and $1,500 per student for full-time undergraduate or graduate students within their first four years at the University of Waterloo's Faculty of Arts. The WCGS Study Travel Award - Canadian Universities provides between $500 and $1,500 per student for full-time undergraduate or graduate students within their first four years at any Canadian University. These awards help defray travel expenses during participation in recognized German language or cultural studies programs abroad such as Canadian Summer School in Germany (Kassel), Canadian Year in Freiburg, CAUTG Work Study Program, and FUBiS. These awards are made possible by a donation from Fred and Ruth Stork, and their children Michael and Marion, as loyal friends and supporters of the University of Waterloo, the Kitchener-Waterloo community and the Waterloo Centre for German Studies (WCGS).
