About this opportunity
Moray Council provides financial assistance to families on low incomes through free school meals and clothing grants. All P1-P5 children are eligible for free school meals, with extended eligibility for P6-P7 and some secondary students whose families receive Scottish Child Payment. Families receiving certain qualifying benefits may also claim a School Clothing Grant of £120 for primary-aged children or £150 for secondary-aged children to assist with essential school clothing costs. The program also provides holiday meal support payments to eligible families during school breaks. Eligible families must receive Income Support, Income-based Job Seekers' Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, support under the Immigration and Asylum Act, or Universal Credit with monthly earned income not exceeding £850. Young people aged 16-18 may apply in their own right if they receive qualifying benefits.
