About this opportunity
The Freelands Fellowship programme offers practising artists funding for a year, a personal studio within the setting of one of the partner universities' art departments, and dedicated time and support to develop their individual artistic practice. Fellows will be based at their host university for 12 months, with their own studio as part of the Fine Art department. In addition to receiving a bursary of £26,000, Fellows will receive mentorship and the opportunity to engage with the current student body through supporting staff with workshops, crits and tutorials as well as hosting at least one artist's talk. Fellows will have access to workshop and library facilities as well as regular contact with a dedicated mentor, and will have the opportunity to visit one of the partner universities in the role of a visiting Lecturer/practitioner. The Fellowship culminates in a solo exhibition with the host university.
