This grant program aims to increase the promotion of experiential expertise in the form of peer support specialists as a central part of service delivery and professional development in health and care services within mental health, substance abuse, and violence fields. The funding supports voluntary and non-profit organizations working to integrate lived experience into professional services. The program seeks to enhance service quality by incorporating the valuable perspectives and knowledge of individuals with personal experience in mental health, substance use, and violence-related issues. Organizations can receive grants up to 4,100,000 NOK to develop and implement peer support consultant roles within these critical health and social service areas.
