Freshman One-Year Housing Scholarship

The Freshman One-Year Housing Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen as part of their automatic scholarship award package at Mississippi State University. This scholarship covers the cost of an on-campus, double-occupancy residence hall space for incoming first-time freshman students who meet specific academic requirements. The scholarship is designed to provide housing support for high-achieving students during their first year at MSU. To qualify, students must have a minimum 9th-11th grade GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate exceptional academic achievement with an ACT score of 34 or higher (or SAT score of 1490 or higher). This scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible students and does not require a separate application. It is important to note that this scholarship is not renewable and only covers housing costs for the student's freshman year at Mississippi State University.
