About this opportunity
The Friends of the Nations' Libraries (FNL) helps regional, national and specialist libraries, archives and museums acquire books, manuscripts and archives that they could not otherwise afford. Grants typically range from £200-£20,000, with FNL usually contributing part of the cost of an acquisition, though they may be willing to meet the full cost if other funds are not available. Applications are considered at Trustees' meetings held in March, June and November, with submissions due by the first of each month. However, urgent applications with approaching auction deadlines can be submitted at any time for quick consideration. Receiving a grant from the FNL often helps unlock other sources of funding, and the organization may be able to suggest possible additional funding sources to applicants.
