Friends of the University of Sussex Scholarship

The Friends of the University of Sussex Scholarship is a maintenance grant offered to applicants from the USA who will be taking up a place to study a full-time Masters degree at the University of Sussex in September 2026. This scholarship is made possible thanks to the generosity of North American alumni and the Friends of the University of Sussex organization. The scholarship provides financial support equivalent to $10,000 to help with living costs during the course of study. The award is paid in three equal installments when the successful applicant registers on their Masters program at Sussex. Only one scholarship is available annually, and applicants must be classified as 'overseas' for fee purposes and be a US national or provide proof of US residency. The scholarship excludes certain courses such as certificates, diplomas, courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School, and various specified development studies programs.
