Fritidskasse Alstahaug

Alstahaug kommune has received funding from Bufdir through the grant scheme 'Tilskudd for inkludering av barn og unge' to establish a local leisure fund (fritidskasse). The fund aims to enable more children and youth (ages 5-19) from low-income families in Alstahaug to participate in regular organized activities. The support scheme is trust-based and provides financial assistance for participation fees, equipment, travel, camps, and other costs related to ongoing organized activities. Applications must come from organizations, clubs, health centers, schools, or others with a connection to the child/youth. The scheme operates on a rolling basis while funds are available through December 1, 2025, with the final application deadline of November 30, 2025. Support is paid directly to organizations rather than families, covering only actual costs incurred.
