This funding opportunity supports initiatives to promote renewable energy in Jämtland and Västernorrland counties in Sweden. The program targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as the final beneficiary group, with particular emphasis on physical investments that contribute to increased production capacity for renewable energy. Projects can focus on direct support to companies, development of support structures, or building environments and infrastructure for renewable energy production. Eligible projects should contribute to increased use and production of renewable energy, promote renewable energy adoption, transition to sustainable fuels, and development of technical environments, test facilities, and commercial production environments for renewable energy. The desired long-term effects include reduced greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable and competitive businesses, increased production and use of renewable energy, and more efficient use of limited resources.
