About this opportunity

The Froedtert Memorial Hospital Scholarship is awarded for the academic year to new first-year, new transfer, master's, and clinical doctorate students in health-related academic programs at UW-Milwaukee to grow the health care workforce. The scholarship is designed to support students pursuing immediate employability in direct patient services. Approximately 25% of scholarship recipients will be graduates of Milwaukee Public Schools. The average award per recipient is $5000 per year, with awards varying up to $8,000. The scholarship includes renewable 4-year awards to incoming first-year students (structured to increase in value each year to provide incentives to achieve academically), renewable 2-year awards to transfer students, and several awards for graduate degree students. Recipients must demonstrate academic merit or potential and demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA or UWM's Non-FAFSA Need Worksheet. Students must be admitted to UWM and enrolled in eligible health-related academic programs including Athletic Training, Biomedical Sciences, Communication Sciences & Disorders, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Public Health, Social Work, and many other health sciences majors, minors, and certificates. Previous recipients of renewable awards do not need to reapply each year.
