About this opportunity
These scholarships were established in 2019 by Fujitsu Cyber Security Services to support two students with their studies in cyber security. These awards are intended to encourage and help build cyber security expertise within New Zealand. The Scholarship is open to students studying Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit, with preference given to students from diverse backgrounds, particularly Māori, Pacific Peoples, female and gender-diverse people. Recipients must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who can obtain and keep a Security Clearance, and must be enrolled at 200 level or above in a BE (Hons) degree. Recipients are expected to act as Ambassadors for the University and may be required to speak at events during the tenure of their award.

Review process
Selection panel comprises the Head of School of Engineering and Computer Science, up to two academic staff members, and two representatives from Fujitsu's Cyber Security Services team. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to interview.
