About this opportunity
The Fulbright Program is the flagship foreign exchange scholarship program of the United States of America, aimed at increasing binational research collaboration, cultural understanding, and the exchange of ideas. Fulbright Scholarships enable Australian students and researchers to undertake a master's degree (1-2 year), PhD research (4-8 months), postdoctoral research (4-8 months) or short term research projects (4 months) at any U.S. university and in any field. The scholarship provides comprehensive support including monthly stipends, partial tuition allowance, round-trip airfare, settling-in allowance, health benefits, and orientation and networking opportunities. Selection is based on achievement relevant to the opportunity, relevance of proposed project to Fulbright ethos and rationale for study/research in the U.S., impact and outcomes of proposed study/research, and ambassadorial skills.
