Taiwan - Master's Degree Program Awards: China Medical University Award in Chinese Medicine

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers a Master's Degree Award at China Medical University (CMU) in Taiwan, specifically within the College of Chinese Medicine. This partnership award enables U.S. students to pursue a full-time, two-year Master's degree in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture Science, or Integrative Health, with instruction primarily in English. Established in 1958, CMU has trained over 10,000 professionals in Chinese medicine and pharmacy and is internationally recognized for bridging traditional Chinese medicine with Western medical research. The university boasts the world's largest clinical database of Chinese medicine and a premier R&D team. During the COVID-19 pandemic, CMU researchers developed the innovative "Anti-COVID-19 CMU" herbal formula using molecular biological approaches. The award provides comprehensive support including full tuition coverage, student dormitory housing, round-trip airfare, monthly living allowance, national health insurance, and exclusive one-on-one Medical Mandarin language instruction. Students also receive opportunities for clinical observation in Chinese medicine. The grant is initially awarded for 12 months with renewal for the second year contingent upon maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0.
