About This Opportunity

The Wolfson Foundation provides funding for research-intensive universities and research institutions in the UK. The programme awards grants towards new buildings, refurbishment work and major equipment to enable high-quality research. Grants are also sometimes awarded to improve access and research libraries or to improve public engagement with science. Projects related to research infrastructure should aim to expand high-quality research into new fields, increase output from existing research, improve the quality of research, or produce work with clear impact benefitting either the academic community or the public. Applications must be coordinated by the university Development Office to ensure the project is a strategic, institutional priority. The programme operates through a two-stage application process with funding decisions made twice annually in June and December.
