About this opportunity
The Futures of Art History Scholarship provides financial support to upper-level History of Art and Architecture majors at the University of Massachusetts Amherst who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship gives preference to students from educational, cultural, or geographic backgrounds that are underrepresented in the field of art history, as well as to students who have experienced financial hardship. Priority is also given to students who have demonstrated sustained commitment to diversity, including efforts to reduce social, educational, or economic disparities based on race, ethnicity, or gender, or to improve race relations in academic, professional, or civic contexts. Eligible students must maintain good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and have no incomplete grades on their record. The scholarship awards $5,000 to support students pursuing studies in art history and architecture at UMass Amherst.
