About this opportunity

The Gail E Donne Scholarship in Biomedical Science (Laboratory Medicine) is established in memory of Gail Elizabeth Mangion (nee Donne), an RMIT alumna who graduated in Biomedical Science (Laboratory Medicine) in 1969. This scholarship supports students who identify as women enrolled full-time in a laboratory medicine program and who can demonstrate financial hardship, academic ability, and community involvement. The scholarship is specifically designed for Australian citizens who are Victorian residents pursuing either the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Laboratory Medicine) or Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine (Honours) at RMIT University. Applicants must demonstrate academic achievement or potential, interpersonal communication and leadership skills, and active community involvement. Financial hardship must be evidenced through receipt of government-tested low income benefits or possession of a Centrelink Health Care Card. Preference is given to applicants with current regional or rural residence, or those who have relocated from regional/rural areas to Melbourne for their studies. The application process includes submission of reference letters and may require an interview.
